How to copy and duplicate your products

A quick guide showing you how to copy and duplicate your products.

Copying or duplicating products can be a quick way of adding products to your shop. Especially if you have products that are very similar.

Important:
If you want to have a product appear in more than one category and its information will stay the same, you should instead 'Link' that product to other categories. Instruction on how to do this can be found on our help page, How to have products appear in multiple categories.

Duplicating a product is easy - the following steps will show you how.

To duplicate a product:

Step 1.

Go to the category where the product to be duplicated is currently located and select the product you want duplicated

Step 2.

Click the "Copy To" button to the right side of the page.

Step 3.

Under the heading "Copy Method", tick the “Duplicate Product " radio button.   "Linked Product " will already be selected by default.
Note: If you dont select "Duplicate Product" you will not make a another copy of your product - you will instead just link that product to another category.

Step 4.

In the dropdown menu named "Categories", select the new category you want the duplicated product to appear in.

Step 5.

To finish, Click the "Copy" button and your product will be duplicated and appear in the category you selected.

Important:
The newly duplicated product wont be displayed in your shop yet, so you have to change its status to "in stock” by clicking its "green icon".
